What hardware or badges do we need?
PingIn does not require a special badge format. It matches the identifier value assigned to an employee. Customers can reuse an existing barcode or another identifier when a scanner sends a value the browser can enter. A special reader is not required for manual typed entry, but typed entry should be treated as a security exception because another person could enter someone else's identifier.

- Implemented but not hardware-verified: camera decoding includes QR, common linear barcodes, and PDF417; typed identifiers; Enterprise face recognition.
- Not verified as supported: USB scanners on iPad, Bluetooth scanners, Android tablet deployments, RFID/NFC/fob readers, and fingerprint readers.
